The Northeast Astronomy Forum and Space Expo (Neaf) celebrates 34 years in Suffern, New York, just 40 minutes outside New York City. This two -day event, which will be held on April 5th and 6th at the Rockland Community College, presents 120 sellers of telescopes and equipment, interviews with industry experts and opportunities to make your sun vision.
Sellers include Celestron, Oberwerk, Sky-Watcher, Zwo and many other best producers from all over the world. The huge showroom will offer visitors the opportunity to test and buy the latest products.
Neaf is also a great place to see the talks of the best experts in the sector. Peter King, a correspondent of the CBS News that covers human space and space flight, has recently been added as a speaker. The complete list of astronomers and scientists scheduled to speak to the event will soon be announced on the Neef website.
Neaf also includes the Northeast Pro/Am Conference (NPAC), which presents free lessons held by astronomy experts. This year he will present interviews of the astronomer of the Seti Ariel Graykowski Institute, Roxanne Karmin of the International Occultation Timing Association and the leader of the Aavso Exoplanet Dennis Conti section.
Other fun opportunities during your visit include planetary shows, demonstrations of creating mirrors and solar visualization with specialized telescopes. Children can enjoy seminars and STEM education activities.
Tickets are available for $ 39.00 for the one -day entrance and $ 70.00 for the two -day entrance. Discounts for students and other packages are also available. Children in age equal to or less than 12 are allowed free of charge with an accompaniment for adults.
