In the world of science and entertainment, there is nothing like Starmus. Founded by the astronomer Garik Israeli and his dear astronomer friend and guitarist Brian May, founder of Queen, the festival periodically presents a celebration of what we know about the cosmos as no other event.
On 1-2 April 2025, Starmus-The Word from “Stars” and “Music” -Arvery in America with a two-day event at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, the event will present Nobel Scientist Nobel Discussions and interviews , astronauts and winning explorers of the prize and music of some of the most talented artists in the world of rock ‘n’ Roll.
The presenters will include the founder of Starmus Garik Israelian, Astronomy The publisher David Eicher (who will act as a guest), the astronaut Chris Hadfield, the physicist Kip Thorne, the chemist and the Nobel Prize winner Jack Szostak, president of the National Academy of Sciences Marcia McNutt, Astrophysics Mario Livio, Astronaut Nicole Stott, Painter and photographer Lia Halreran and choreographer, dancer and actress Debbie Allen and entertainer David Zambuka.
The musicians who perform the keyboard player Derek Sherinian (Alice Cooper, Billy Idol, Joe Bonamassa), the guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Guns N ‘Roses, Sons of Apollo), the bassist Tony Franklin (Jimmy Page, Paul Rodgers, Whitesnake) and Drummer Vincent Appice (God, Black Sabbath).
